A Kirat Warrior Khukuri – Blade of the Eastern Hills (Shreejung) of Nepal ..

This khukuri is a proud dedication to the brave Kirati warriors and their mighty Kirat Kingdom (beginning around 800 BC and ending in 300 AD). Wielded mainly by the fearless Rai, Limbu and Sunuwar tribes, it honors their legacy of courage, independence, heritage and unwavering defense of their ancestral land.

The Kirat people, with their own unique language, customs, and martial traditions, lived in harmony with the land while remaining ever-ready to defend it. The khukuri was always close - carried by hunters, farmers, and soldiers alike. For the Rai and Limbu, it was more than a weapon; it was an extension of the warrior spirit passed down through generations.

The name 'Shreejung' is a small village in the eastern hills of Nepal in Taplejung. Just as the land the Kirat people of Sri Jung stands strong amidst the Himalayas, this Shreejung khukuri is mostly used in these hills.

Forged to pay homage to the ancient warriors of the great king, Yalamber..
